New trailers and production updates for popular anime series

August 2026 is an exhilarating month for anime fans, showcasing a dynamic mix of cinematic events and long-awaited seasonal returns.

The landscape is currently defined by a shift toward major theatrical releases, most notably the August 28th IMAX debut of Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgisnacht: Rising, which continues Homura Akemi’s complex story.

Original films are also making waves, with Netflix releasing the war-torn fantasy The Ribbon Hero, directed by Yuuki Igarashi, to a global audience.

For fans of episodic storytelling, the return of season favorites is in full swing.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- returned for its fourth season on August 12, followed closely by the highly anticipated third season of the supernatural mystery Link Click on August 14.

Both Netflix and HIDIVE are aggressively expanding their libraries with fresh English dubs, such as the debut of Banana Fish.
