On July 6, 2026, the official team behind the legendary Sword Art Online franchise announced a brand-new feature film titled Sword Art Online the Movie -Integral Domain-.
The movie is slated for a theatrical release in 2028, sparking major anticipation within the community.
Unlike the recent Progressive series, which explored the past, Integral Domain features an all-new original story set after the conclusion of the Alicization arc.
Series creator Reki Kawahara is providing the story concept, ensuring the narrative stays true to the franchise's roots.
