New speed ramps cause road closures in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown
Residents in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area should prepare for temporary road closures this April.
The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has announced that Military Road in Ballybrack, specifically the stretch between Killiney Hill Road and Seafield Road, will close for the installation of new speed ramps.
These closures are scheduled for four consecutive Saturdays: April 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2026, operating between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
During these hours, signed diversions will guide motorists, though local and pedestrian access will remain available.
This work is part of a series of broader infrastructure projects across the county, including the ongoing Dún Laoghaire Central Active Travel Scheme and the Beckett Link Road Project.
For the most up-to-date travel information, residents are encouraged to visit the official dlrcoco.ie website, where the council frequently posts 'Traffic News' detailing all ongoing roadworks, resurfacing efforts, and Active Travel developments affecting the local network.
