This rating indicates that parental guidance is suggested for younger audiences, acknowledging that the film contains themes such as childhood trauma, medicinal drug use, and moments of violence.

The board praised the film for its artistic restraint in handling sensitive topics.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and featuring Jaafar Jackson in the lead role, the film explores Michael's transformation from a young prodigy in The Jackson 5 to a global music icon.
