Business personality Kevin O’Leary has recently been at the center of two high-profile legal battles involving defamation.
By July 2026, the legal landscape surrounding O’Leary shifted significantly, moving from a courtroom victory to a challenging new lawsuit.
Earlier in 2026, O’Leary successfully sued crypto influencer Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong.
Armstrong had falsely accused O’Leary and his wife of criminal behavior related to a 2019 boating accident and encouraged public harassment.
A federal judge eventually ordered Armstrong to pay $2.8 million in damages for the harm caused.
However, O’Leary is now the defendant in an active lawsuit filed in Utah.
