Global Community Observes World Rainforest Day

Every year on June 22, the global community comes together to observe World Rainforest Day.

Launched in 2017 by the Rainforest Partnership, this important day serves as both a celebration of our planet's natural wonders and an urgent call to action.

Although rainforests cover less than 10% of Earth's surface, they house over 50% of all plant and animal species and act as the "lungs of the Earth" by absorbing massive amounts of carbon.
