GameStop Introduces Digital Trading Card Platform
On April 14, 2026, GameStop announced the launch of "Power Packs," a digital trading card platform arriving at powerpacks.com on April 15, 2026.
This platform allows users to buy digital packs that unlock physical, PSA-authenticated, and graded trading cards.
Partnering with PSA, GameStop utilizes a "Vault" model where cards are kept in a secure vault after opening, allowing for instant sales without traditional shipping delays.
Users can choose to sell their cards back to GameStop, have them shipped to their homes, or hold them in their digital inventory.
At launch, the service covers Pokémon, football, basketball, and baseball cards, with pack prices ranging from $25 to $2,500.
This initiative is a strategic pivot for GameStop, aiming to diversify its revenue beyond struggling physical gaming retail.
While investors responded with a slight increase in GME stock, analysts remain cautious about the company’s long-term growth as it transitions its business model.
