Former England international footballer Raheem Sterling is facing serious legal challenges in the UK.
As of August 2026, the 31-year-old athlete has been formally charged with three criminal offenses related to a single-vehicle accident that occurred earlier this year.
On May 28, 2026, Sterling was involved in a crash on the M3 motorway in Hampshire, England, while driving a Lamborghini.
Following an investigation by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, authorities charged Sterling with dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
It is important to note that Sterling has not been convicted of any crime and is currently preparing to defend himself in court.
If convicted, the dangerous driving charge alone could carry a potential prison sentence of up to two years.
