Square Enix has officially announced the conclusion of its ambitious Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy.
Titled Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the final installment is scheduled for release in Spring 2027.
Making history for the series, the game will launch simultaneously across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Directed by Naoki Hamaguchi, Revelation focuses on the theme of resolve as Cloud and his allies face their final destiny.
Fans can look forward to the most expansive open world yet, featuring the iconic Highwind airship, which allows players to explore the planet with complete freedom.
Combat is also receiving a major upgrade with the introduction of the FITS (Function Integrated Tactical Suitwear) system.
Similar to the beloved dress-sphere mechanics of past titles, this system lets players swap costumes and abilities mid-battle.
Unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2026, the developers are committed to ensuring this finale is a complete, polished experience that brings the legendary story to a climactic close.
