In a major strategic move for the quantum computing industry, D-Wave Quantum Inc.
(NYSE: QBTS) officially transitioned its stock market listing from the New York Stock Exchange to The Nasdaq Stock Market in July 2026.
The company, known as the world’s first commercial quantum computing supplier, began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on July 27, 2026, while retaining its familiar ticker symbol, QBTS.
Alan Baratz stated that this move aligns the company with other leaders shaping the future of technology, marking a new chapter focused on accelerating commercial growth.
D-Wave distinguishes itself by offering a unique dual-platform approach, including both annealing and gate-model quantum systems, supported by their cloud-based Leap service.
Market analysts view the shift to Nasdaq as a strategic effort to increase visibility and position D-Wave within a hub specifically tailored for high-growth technology firms.
This transition underscores the company's commitment to advancing its commercial hardware and software solutions as it continues to scale its operations.
