Since its inception in the early 1980s, Highlands Ranch Parkway has served as the vital heartbeat of the Highlands Ranch community.
Originally built to transform vast ranchland into a thriving suburban hub, the Parkway was crucial for linking residents to the greater Denver area following the completion of the C-470 freeway.
However, as the population has surged to over 100,000, parts of this foundational infrastructure have reached the end of their lifespan.
This summer, a major modernization project began between Broadway and Burntwood Way to address aging pavement and safety standards.
Scheduled to run through September 2026, this $6.57 million investment will replace gutters, sidewalks, and signals, ensuring the road remains reliable for years to come.
