The supernatural action manga Black Torch is officially hitting screens.
Fans were treated to a special world premiere of the anime adaptation at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles on July 3, featuring a screening and a star-studded panel.
Produced by 100studio under director Kei Umabiki, the series officially begins streaming on Crunchyroll on July 4, 2026, with an English dub available from day one.
Based on the 2016 manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki, the story follows Jiro Azuma, a teenager with the unique ability to talk to animals.
His quiet life transforms after he saves a mysterious cat named Rago, who turns out to be an ancient, powerful mononoke.
When Rago merges with Jiro to save his life, Jiro is thrust into a secret war between humanity and dark spirits.
