Black Torch Anime Concludes its First Season

The supernatural action series Black Torch is officially concluding its first and final season on September 19, 2026.

Based on the manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki, the anime adaptation has been hailed by fans as a 'redemption' project.

While the original manga was cancelled prematurely in 2018, this 12-episode adaptation produced by 100studio provides the definitive, complete ending the story deserved.

The series follows Jiro Azuma, a high-schooler from a ninja lineage, who fuses his spirit with a demon cat named Rago to battle supernatural threats within the clandestine Bureau of Espionage.

Directed by Kei Umabiki and streaming on Crunchyroll, the anime is praised for its high-quality action and faithful world-building.

It perfectly captures the essence of classic shonen tropes, from intense ninja battles to themes of unlikely friendship.

For fans who felt the manga was cut short, this conclusion is a welcome and polished farewell to Jiro and Rago’s journey.
