Big South men's golf championship kicks off in South Carolina

The 2026 Big South Men's Golf Championship is officially underway at the scenic Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort in South Carolina.

Running from April 26 to April 29, the tournament features top-tier collegiate talent competing for the coveted conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.

Held at the challenging Ocean Creek Golf Course, the event consists of 54 holes of stroke play, followed by a high-stakes match-play format for the top four teams on the final day.

Winthrop University enters as the No. 1 seed, boasting their strongest stroke average in program history, while USC Upstate hopes to defend their 2025 championship title.
