Anime Boston 2026 Sets Attendance Record
Anime Boston 2026, held from April 3 to April 5, 2026, at the Hynes Convention Center and Sheraton Boston Hotel, officially set a new attendance record, marking it as the largest event in the convention's 24-year history.
With 27,055 unique attendees, it remains the largest anime convention in the Northeast.
Over 700 hours of programming featured panels, concerts, and gaming.
Notably, composer Yoko Kanno and author Hyūganatsu made their first-ever U.S. convention appearances.
The event also raised $18,373 for charity and collected over 50 units of blood.
Organized by the New England Anime Society, its success is driven by its central location and appeal to students and professionals.
Looking ahead, Anime Boston will return May 28–30, 2027, to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
