Ange Postecoglou Wins Debut Match for Al-Nassr

Ange Postecoglou made a triumphant start as Al-Nassr head coach, leading the reigning Saudi Pro League champions to a convincing 3-0 victory over Al-Fateh on August 15, 2026.

Playing at Al-Awwal Park, the team displayed early dominance with first-half goals from Angelo Gabriel and João Félix.

Summer recruit Samu Costa rounded off the scoring after entering the match as a substitute.

The game also featured a notable appearance by Cristiano Ronaldo in the VIP box, who missed the action following his recent marriage.

Appointed in July 2026 on a two-year contract, the former Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest manager faces the unique challenge of maintaining Al-Nassr's success in a demanding league.

Known for his tactical philosophy often dubbed 'Angeball,' Postecoglou must now adapt his demanding style to the high temperatures of Saudi Arabia.

With the Saudi Pro League’s history of high managerial turnover, this victory provides a promising foundation as he works to secure his legacy with this star-studded squad.
