On September 19, 2026, former Premier League star Andros Townsend, currently playing for Thai League 1 club PT Prachuap, survived a frightening accident during a pre-match warm-up.
While practicing near the touchline, Townsend was accidentally struck by a heavy motorized pitch roller.
Showing incredible resilience and composure, he refused to sit out the match entirely.
After reassuring his concerned teammates, he made a substitute appearance in the 93rd minute of a 3-0 victory.
