In a significant development for the ongoing Pushpa 2 case, the Nampally Court in Hyderabad has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun and 19 others.
The legal action stems from a tragic stampede that occurred on December 4, 2024, at Sandhya Theatre.
During a promotional appearance for the film, an overwhelming crowd led to chaos, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old woman and serious injuries to her son.
Investigations by the Chikkadapally Police revealed critical security failures, such as inadequate crowd management and the absence of necessary permits for the actor's visit.
Consequently, a chargesheet was filed accusing 23 individuals, including the theater management and Allu Arjun, of charges including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Although the actor was previously granted bail, these new summons represent a formal procedural move toward a trial.
Allu Arjun’s legal team has acknowledged the order and confirmed he will appear in court on June 22, 2026.
