Boil Water Notice Issued Following Watermain Break in Lake Country
On April 13, 2026, the District of Lake Country issued a mandatory boil water notice for residents of the Beaver Lake Water System.
To ensure public safety, those affected were instructed to boil their water for at least one minute before drinking, brushing teeth, or washing produce.
Alternatively, bottled or properly treated water could be used.
Once repairs were completed, residents were advised that water might briefly appear discoloured or contain air.
In such cases, running a cold-water tap until it cleared was the recommended solution.
This proactive measure is standard municipal protocol to protect community health following infrastructure damage.
Authorities have committed to providing updates until the water supply is confirmed safe and the notice is fully rescinded.
