Leaders gather in Cairo for the EGYPES energy conference
Cairo recently hosted the ninth edition of the EGYPES 2026 conference, a premier energy event for North Africa and the Mediterranean.
Running from March 30 to April 1 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, the event operated under the theme "Transforming Energy through Collaboration, Action, and Realism."
With over 50,000 attendees and hundreds of global leaders, the conference served as a vital forum for discussing energy security amidst global uncertainty.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized the nation's role as a key energy hub.
The event featured high-level diplomacy, including sessions with regional leaders, and introduced an Innovation Hub focusing on AI and digital solutions for energy efficiency.
By gathering industry giants and government officials, EGYPES 2026 aimed to strengthen regional influence, encourage investment in oil and gas, and accelerate the transition toward more secure and diversified energy systems.
This conference reinforces Egypt’s status as a stable investment destination committed to international energy cooperation.
