Assassination Classroom movie celebrates 10th anniversary with theatrical release
Assassination Classroom fans have a reason to celebrate.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the franchise, the new film Assassination Classroom The Movie: Our Time premiered in Japan on March 20, 2026.
This is not just a rerun; creator Yūsei Matsui calls it an official continuation that features never-before-seen stories and narrative pieces omitted from the original series.
Produced by studio Lerche and directed by Masaki Kitamura, the movie reunites the original voice cast alongside a few new talents.
While the movie has been licensed by Muse Asia for theatrical release in several Asian markets, international fans in other regions are still waiting for news on a global launch.
For those unfamiliar, the story follows Class 3-E, a group of students tasked with a unique mission: assassinating their tentacled teacher, Koro-sensei, before he destroys the planet.
