U.S. Data Centers in Middle East Targeted by IRGC
In April 2026, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) marked a dangerous shift in regional conflict by targeting U.S.-linked commercial technology infrastructure across the Middle East.
Moving beyond traditional military strikes, the IRGC labeled 18 major tech firms, including Microsoft and Amazon, as 'terrorist spy corporations.'
While the IRGC issued warnings for evacuations, their actions have led to confirmed attacks on Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in the UAE and Bahrain.
Conversely, reports of an attack on an Oracle facility in Dubai were officially denied by local authorities as false.
