International Volleyball Federation Launches Global Training Network
On April 1, 2026, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) launched the FIVB International Centres of Excellence Framework, marking a significant step in its FIVB Strategic Vision 2032.
This initiative aims to professionalize volleyball training globally by establishing a unified network of high-performance facilities.
Acting as an evolution of the existing Volleyball Empowerment programme, these centres provide consistent access to world-class infrastructure and technical expertise.
By standardizing training benchmarks, the FIVB intends to narrow the competitive gap between emerging and established volleyball nations.
Under the leadership of President Fabio Azevedo, the FIVB is moving away from fragmented regional methods toward a coordinated global ecosystem.
As the 2032 targets approach, this network promises to reshape the international competitive landscape, ensuring that volleyball continues to thrive through innovation, professionalized development, and a shared commitment to excellence.
