Established in 2012 by entrepreneur Samuel Yin, the prize aims to recognize innovators whose work shapes the future of global progress.
This year’s honorees include American atmospheric chemist Susan Solomon for her vital climate research, and a trio of scientists—Steven A.
June—for their pioneering cellular immunotherapy treatments.
Historian Ge Zhaoguang became the first China-based scholar to receive the Sinology award for his deep insights into Chinese intellectual history, while legal scholar Bruce Ackerman was honored for his influential research on constitutional democracy.
Each laureate receives NT$50 million to support their groundbreaking efforts.
The official award ceremony is set for September 18, 2026, in Taiwan, promising a series of forums that will engage students and scholars worldwide in the ongoing pursuit of human advancement.
