Today is a big day for hockey fans worldwide.
The announcement is scheduled for 3:00 PM ET, with live coverage on TSN and the NHL Network.
An 18-person committee determines who makes the cut, requiring a 75% majority vote.
They are capped at inducting four male players, two female players, and one builder per year.
To be eligible, players must have been retired for at least three full seasons.
This year, all eyes are on Patrice Bergeron.
As a first-year eligible candidate, the legendary Boston Bruins center is expected to be a "lock" for induction given his incredible career, which includes a Stanley Cup and six Selke Trophies.
Carey Price, the celebrated former Montreal Canadiens goalie, is also a top contender.
Other notable players like Phil Kessel and Rod Brind'Amour are also in the running.
Whatever the outcome, the official induction ceremony will take place in Toronto during a special weekend from November 7 to November 9, 2026.
It is truly a celebration of the sport's greatest icons.
