Conditionals

Learn how to talk about habits and future possibilities using Zero and First Conditionals.

To talk about real, factual relationships between actions, we use Zero Conditionals with If and the present simple in both clauses.

If it is hot, I drink water.

If it is hot, I drink water.

To describe possible future events and their results, we use First Conditionals with will in the main clause:

If it rains, I will stay home.

If it rains, I will stay home.
