Past Simple: Regular Verbs

Learn how to use regular past tense verbs ending in -ed.

To describe actions that are finished in the past, we use the Past Simple tense. For regular verbs, we add -ed to the end of the verb.

I cleaned the room.

We also describe past sports activities:

I played tennis.
