Present Continuous: Statements

Learn how to describe actions happening right now using the Present Continuous tense.

To talk about actions happening right now, we use the Present Continuous tense. We form this using the Be-verb (am/is/are) + verb ending in -ing.

I am eating bread.

To describe another person's current action:

She is drinking tea.

She is drinking tea.
